Angelo D'Anna, Mars Supermarkets president, dies

Angelo D'Anna, president of Mars Supermarkets, the family-owned, Baltimore-area grocery chain, died Saturday of congestive heart failure at University of Maryland Medical Center.

He was 71.

Mr. D'Anna built the 12-store chain from a grocery store that opened in 1946 on Holabird Avenue in Dundalk.
