Outlook: U.S. World Cup goalkeeper Tony Meola is expected to start for Buffalo, marking his first appearance against the Spirit. His record is 1-2. Veteran defender Mike Stankovic, 38, will make his season debut for the Spirit. He played in 20 games the past two seasons, but also was the assistant coach. Tim Wittman will miss the game after being suspended for at least two weeks by coach Dave MacWilliams for insubordination. The Spirit is 1-2 against Buffalo this season. The Blizzard has dropped three of its last four since its five-game winning streak ended. The game will feature the National Professional Soccer League's top two all-time point scorers -- the Spirit's Franklin McIntosh (786) and Buffalo's Rudy Pikuzinski (715). Gino DiFlorio, still the Blizzard's No. 2 scorer despite missing the past six games, is out with a torn Achilles' tendon.
