Mount beaten NEC win streak ends at 30 games STATE WOMEN

Sophomore guard Colleen Connors made two free throws with seven seconds remaining to lift St. Francis, Pa., over Mount St. Mary's, 66-64, in Loretto, Pa.

The loss ended a 30-game Northeast Conference winning streak for the Mountaineers (6-5, 3-1).

Stacy Alexander and Mary Markey added 17 points apiece for the Red Flash (6-6, 4-0). Mount St. Mary's was led by Heather Wable with 16 points.

* Western Maryland 66, Goucher 61: Heidi Snyder had 17 points and 13 rebounds as host Western Maryland (7-1) beat Goucher (4-6) for its seventh straight win.

Sandi DeJager added 16 points and Denise Spangler 13 points and 11 rebounds for Western Maryland.

Didi Cotton (Western) topped Goucher, which dropped its fourth game in a row, with 18 points.

* Johns Hopkins 80, Haverford 46: Julie Anderson had 18 points and Amy Dodrill added 17 as visiting Johns Hopkins defeated Haverford. Koren Miller led Haverford with 18.

* Allegany CC 73, Catonsville CC 57: Amy Beeman scored 23 points to lead Allegany Community College over visiting Catonsville CC. Sharon Ford (Howard) scored 19 points for the Cardinals.
