Man robs Odenton store, threatens to kill clerk

A man who threatened to slit a clerk's throat robbed a 7-Eleven store in Odenton yesterday morning, county police said.

The man walked into the store in the 1500 block of Annapolis Road around 12:30 a.m., went behind the counter and put a box cutter to the clerk's throat. He told the clerk to give him money or he would cut his throat, police said.

The robber then took an undisclosed amount of cash and ran to a waiting car, police said. The clerk received small cuts on his neck and hand but did not go to the hospital, police said.


* Laurel: Thieves broke into an apartment in the 200 block of Red Clay Road Sunday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and stole $3,000 that had been hidden in a dresser drawer, police said.
