* ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who stole less than $100 from a cash register at a High's store in the 3700 block of Wilkens Ave. Sunday night. After purchasing candy, the man waited until the clerk opened the cash register, leaned over the counter and took the money.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A white 1988 Pontiac Bonneville with tags BZC 794 was stolen Sunday from the 3300 block of St. Paul St.

* BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police responding to a burglar alarm at a liquor store in the 2700 block of Greenmount Ave. Sunday arrested a 38-year-old man. Police said the burglar entered the store through a skylight and was attempting to flee from the second floor when he was arrested. No property was stolen.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered the Fingertips Salon in the 4900 block of Liberty Heights Ave. after breaking the glass out of a front door and stole a compact disc player and several compact discs, all valued at nearly $500.

* THEFT: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a 1990 Rodeo Amigo while it was parked in the 3700 block of Woodhaven Road Sunday by tearing its convertible top and stole speakers valued at $300.


* BURGLARY/ARREST: Towson Precinct -- Officer Pete Grippi was responding to a burglar alarm from a home in the 1700 block of Taylor Ave. Sunday morning when he arrested a suspect fleeing through a rear door. Officer Grippi recovered money believed taken in the burglary.

* ROBBERY: Towson Precinct -- A man who implied he had a gun robbed a High's store in the 8400 block of Oakleigh Road Sunday night of an undisclosed sum, along with the cash register drawer.

* ROBBERY: Woodlawn Precinct -- After making a purchase at the High's store in the 1100 block of Rolling Road Sunday, a man reached into the open cash register and stole less than $100. The man was seen getting into a Chevrolet Beretta occupied by another man.

* RAPE TRY: Wilkens Precinct -- Police were seeking a man who attempted to rape a 21-year-old resident of the 4100 block of McDowell Lane in Lansdowne Sunday morning while she slept. The man fled when the woman cried out, police said.

* STOLEN CAR/ARRESTS: Wilkens Precinct -- Police arrested two teen-age boys Sunday night after they abandoned a Jeep Cherokee that was stolen from the Garrison area several hours earlier. The vehicle was spotted on Frederick Road in Catonsville and was pursued until the two occupants stopped at Frederick and Beechfield avenues in the city and fled on foot. One youth was arrested behind Mount St. Joseph High School and the other at his home on Yale Avenue nearby.
