1 Lake Clifton (8-0) -- Last week's ranking: 1. In a 91-70 victory over then-No. 17 Mervo on Wednesday, Shawnta Rogers scored 28 points. Friday, Rogers scored seven of his game-high 36 points in overtime as the Lakers, ranked No. 13 by USA Today, defeated then-No. 3 Walbrook, 108-94. Next game: Tomorrow against No. 5 Southwestern.

2 Dunbar (8-0) -- Last week's ranking: 2. Eight players scored in double figures, led by Marvis Thornton's 27 points, as the Poets defeated Forest Park, 149-69, to extend the area's longest winning streak to 22 games. Next game: Tomorrow at Northwestern.

3 St. Frances (12-1) -- Last week's ranking: 4. The Panthers opened Catholic League play with a 65-53 victory over then-No. 7 Calvert Hall at the University of Baltimore as Mark Karcher scored a game-high 16 points. Yesterday at the University of Baltimore, Karcher scored 19 in a 60-54 victory over No. 10 Gibbons. Next game: Friday vs. No. 18 Loyola at the University of Baltimore.

4 Walbrook (7-2) -- Last week's ranking: 3. Wednesday, Chris Reynolds scored 18 points in a 69-53 victory over Towson Catholic. Travone Broadway scored 29 points in an 108-94 overtime loss to No. 1 Lake Clifton on Friday. Next game: Tomorrow at Mervo.

5 Southwestern (8-2) -- Last week's ranking: 5. Stanley Parker scored 16 points in a 93-63 victory over Northwestern on Wednesday. In an 84-61 victory over Patterson, Donta Lloyd scored 16 and Ernie Evans added 14. Next game: Tomorrow at No. 1 Lake Clifton.

6 Southern-Balto. (4-3) -- Last week's ranking: 6. In their first game since Dec. 21, the Bulldogs defeated Edmondson, 78-41, Wednesday behind Dedric Galloway's 18 points. Friday, John Hemsley had 18 in a 77-40 victory over then-No. 17 Mervo. Next game: Tomorrow at Edmondson.

7 Broadneck (7-1) -- Last week's ranking: 8. John Williams scored 25 points in a 59-56 victory over then-No. 9 Annapolis on Friday. Next game: Tomorrow against Chesapeake-AA.

8 Calvert Hall (8-4) -- Last week's ranking: 7. In a 65-53 loss to then-No. 4 St. Frances at the University of Baltimore on Friday, John McKay scored 16 points. Tavar Witherspoon scored 16 in a 53-51 victory over Mount St. Joseph yesterday. Next game: Tomorrow against Gilman.

9 Randallstown (9-1) -- Last week's ranking: 11. In an 83-46 victory over Dulaney on Wednesday, Lance Anderson scored 21 points. Anderson had 17 in a 75-57 victory over Franklin. Next game: Wednesday at Parkville.

10 Gibbons (12-3) -- Last week's ranking: 10. Josh Davalli scored 20 points in a 68-48 victory over McDonogh. In a 77-72 victory over St. Maria Goretti on Saturday, Davalli scored 26 and Keith Phoebus had 20. Yesterday, Davalli and Vernon Collins each had 16 in a 60-54 loss to St. Frances at the University of Baltimore. Next game: Tomorrow at No. 19 Severn.

11 Arundel (7-2) -- Last week's ranking: 15. Kevin Higgins' layup with eight seconds remaining lifted the Wildcats to a 66-64 victory over then-No. 9 Annapolis on Tuesday. Marquise Farmer scored 19 points in an 89-53 victory over Northeast. Next game: Tomorrow at Southern-AA.

12 Oakland Mills (7-1) -- Last week's ranking: 12. The Scorpions did not play last week. Next game: Today at No. 13 Atholton.

13 Atholton (8-0) -- Last week's ranking: 13. Tyrone Allmond scored 21 points as the Raiders remained undefeated with a 98-82 victory over Damascus on Wednesday. Next game: Today against No. 12 Oakland Mills.

14 7.5Milford Mill (6-2) -- Last week's ranking: 14. Wednesday, Blanchard Hurd scored 32 points in an 84-47 victory over Chesapeake-BC. Hurd scored 19 in an 87-49 victory over Owings Mills. Next game: Wednesday at Overlea.

15 Annapolis (6-3) -- Last week's ranking: 9. The Panthers lost twice last week, falling to then-No. 15 Arundel (66-64) on Tuesday and Friday to then-No. 8 Broadneck (59-56). Next game: Tomorrow at North County.

16 Poly (6-3) -- Last week's ranking: 19. The Engineers extended their winning streak to five games with a 71-68 victory over Northern as John McLean scored 25 points. Next game: Tomorrow at Forest Park.

17 Old Mill (6-3) -- Last week's ranking: Not ranked. The Patriots debut in the Top 20 after defeating North County (62-58) on Tuesday and Glen Burnie (63-53) on Friday. Joe Barnes scored 33 points in the two games. Next game: Wednesday against No. 1 Lake Clifton.
