Wedding-day waltzing

Learn to dance in time for your wedding with a new video, "Wedding Day Dancing." The 90-minute tape promises to teach the equivalent of 10 hours of private dance instruction including the waltz, fox trot, jitterbug and swing. It breaks each step down into three parts: demonstration with music, men's and women's footwork repeated four times, and a review section. The video also includes a list of 137 romantic wedding-day songs arranged by type of music. It is available from Step By Step for $19.95 plus $5 postage and handling. Call (800) 531-1320.

Commemorate your wedding with the Hawaiian Marriage Certificate, Ka Palapala Male. Hawaiian artist Shayna Baecker Magid produces the certificate, decorated with exotic flora of the islands, to serve as a symbol of a couple's devotion and commitment to each other. The poetic texts of the certificate are taken from "The Legend of Halemano," an ancient Hawaiian oral tradition, and from the Bible. The artist's work can also be used for a Kituba, or Jewish marriage certificate. Preprinted certificates come in a variety of sizes, range in price from $50 to $150 -- calligraphy is up to $100 extra -- and are available from ZYZYX!, 1809 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville. Call (410) 486-9785 to order.
