Thunder Tonight

January 07, 1995

Opponent: Boston Blazers

Site: Baltimore Arena

Time: 8

Outlook: The Thunder leads the series 7-2 but the Blazers won last year's meeting, 17-11, in Baltimore. The Thunder, which finished 1-7 last season, could match last year's win total with a victory tonight. The acquisition Mark Millon (New York) and Rob Shek (Philadelphia) and a strong nucleus, including Lindsay Dixon, Tim Welsh, Paul Cantabene and Brian Kroneberger, have second-year coach Skip Lichtfuss optimistic heading into the 1995 Major Indoor Lacrosse League season. First-team All-Pro Tim Soudan, who led the Blazers with five goals in last year's game, is now with the Rochester Knighthawks, leaving former Detroit star Ted Dowling (21 goals, 10 assists) and second-team All-Pro Tom Carmean (6, 14) to pick up the scoring slack.
