Salisbury beats SUNY-Cortland STATE MEN

Senior forward Kyle Jefferson (Hammond) contributed 28 points and 16 rebounds to lead Salisbury State to a 95-88 win over SUNY-Cortland (3-5) at the Albright College Izod Invitational last night in Easton, Pa.

The Sea Gulls (5-6) shot 55 percent, including 61 percent in the second half. Junior guard Casey Musick (Gibbons) added 19 points.

* Frostburg State 82, Waynesburg 66: Damon Stevenson led six Frostburg State players in double digits with 19 points as the host Bobcats (6-3) topped Waynesburg (3-5) in the Stangels Tournament.

4 Frostburg will plays Chowan today for the title.

* Moravian 66, Washington 62: Brian McGill scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Moravian defeated visiting Washington. Ben Harris scored 16 for the Shoremen.
