Shipley's Choice youths charged in burglaries

County police arrested three Shipley's Choice youths Monday morning and charged them in several burglaries in their neighborhood last month.

Two of the male youths are 16, and one is 17. One 16-year-old lives in the 700 block of Mimosa Court, the other in the 1000 block of Rustling Oaks Drive. The 17-year-old lives in the 500 block of Nightingale Court, police said.

Eastern District officers arrested the boys at their homes about 10:30 a.m. and recovered $1,000 worth of stolen jewelry at the houses. Yesterday afternoon, they recovered from a pawnshop in Baltimore a safe that contained $30,000 worth of stamps. The safe was stolen from a home in the 300 block of Scarlet Oak Drive on Dec. 18, police said.

All three youths were charged with burglarizing a home in the 700 block of Mimosa Court on Dec. 15, the home on Scarlet Oak Drive and a third home in the 1000 block of Rustling Oaks Drive on Dec. 22, police said.

The 17-year-old and the 16-year-old from the 1000 block of Rustling Oaks Drive were charged with burglarizing a house in the 300 block of Lazywood Drive on Dec. 4 and another in the 700 block of Mimosa Court on Dec. 8, police said.
