BALTIMORE CITY

* PURSE-SNATCHING: Central District -- A woman reported to police that a man snatched her purse with $40 in it as she walked in the 300 block of W. Pratt St. at 6:30 a.m. yesterday.

* RAPE/ABDUCTION: Central District -- A 32-year-old woman reported to police that she was kidnapped outside Lexington Market Friday and driven to a house where she was raped. The woman said she was forced at gunpoint into a black van in the market parking lot in the 400 block of W. Lexington St. at 10:30 a.m. Her attacker blindfolded her and drove to an unknown house where he threatened to kill her and raped her. At 11 a.m. the next day, he drove her back to the market and dropped her off.

* THEFT: Southeastern District -- Patrons at a Taco Bell chased three men they had seen kick in a door at Moped City, in the 3300 block of E. Fayette St., and take three mopeds. The thieves abandoned the mopeds and fled.

* BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Residents of a house in the 1900 block of E. Baltimore St. called police at 3:30 a.m. Saturday after hearing someone kick in the front window. Police arrested Michael Buchanan, 22, of La Plata.

* AUTO THEFT: Northeastern District -- A 1994 Dodge Shadow with tags BTK 010 was stolen from the 3800 block of Elkader Road between 11 p.m. Friday and 7:15 a.m. Saturday.

* SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A 31-year-old Baltimore man was shot in the buttocks in the 1500 block of E. Preston St. at 11 a.m. Saturday and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

* BURGLARY: Southern District -- Burglars who entered a rear door of the Amari Samuels Co., in the 1700 block of Ridgely St., apparently were interrupted as they tried to drag copper tubing from the building at 4:20 a.m. Saturday morning. They fled without the tubing.

* BURGLARY: Southern District -- A television set was stolen from a house in the 800 block of Seagull Ave. late Friday after someone broke in through the front door.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* AUTO THEFT: Catonsville Precinct -- A gray Honda Accord, with tags YCH 686, was stolen from the 600 block of Aldershot Road between 5 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday.

* AUTO THEFT: Garrison Precinct -- A 1985 Chrysler Laser, with tags BZP 916, was stolen in the 4500 block of Tapscott Road between 10:40 p.m. Friday and 12:20 p.m. Saturday.

* THEFT: Garrison Precinct -- An undetermined amount of property was taken from a tractor-trailer in the 9900 block of Reisterstown Road between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.
