S&A Custom Built Homes is building models of the three single-family homes the firm is offering at the Appler Development in Littlestown, Pa., approximately 25 miles north of the Baltimore Beltway.

When completed the Appler Development will include 300 homes, a community swimming pool, walking and hiking trails and a day-care center. All homes will have gas heat and hot water, and public water and sewer.

With a starting price of $104,900 for 1,250 square feet of living space, the Farnsworth is the least expensive home in the Pennsylvania community.

The first floor has a 12-by-15-foot living room, 12-by-12-foot dining room, kitchen and powder room.

Upstairs there is an 11-by-13-foot master bedroom with walk-in closet, two more bedrooms and a full bath with dual entries.

The house also has a one-car garage and a laundry room in the unfinished basement.

The Stuart, a rancher with 1,380 square feet, is the most expensive home, with a base price of $125,400.

A basement laundry room and a two-car garage are included.

At 1,620 square feet, the Mead is the largest model under construction. It sells for $124,500.
