The three victories last week brought Chesapeake's league record to 7-1 and the Chiefs remain undefeated at 2-0 in the Capital Beltway Hockey League after beating rival Bowie last Wednesday, 4-3.

Insley got the winning goal in that game with 20 seconds left. Boyer, Scott and Moore also scored for the Chiefs.

Interceptions by John Jacobs, Ron Adams and a sturdy defensive line and secondary helped lead the Labradors to a 46-15 victory over the Bloodhounds in an Anne Arundel County YMCA Football League matchup last week.

Quarterback Bobby Howard scored two touchdowns for the Bloodhounds (2-3), who turned the ball over five times on downs in Labrador territory.

The Labs (3-3), led by quarterback Bill Greer, scored on all but one possession.

Playing in sleet and freezing rain, the Retrievers upped their record to 5-0 with a 42-8 win over the Greyhounds (1-5).

The Retrievers (5-0) were paced by tailback Brian Brady, fullback Cliff O'Connor, quarterback Dave Mitchell and wide receiver Tony Woo. Brady, Butch Martin and Dave Eastwood each intercepted a pass for the Retrievers and Bill Scanlon was a defensive stalwart for the victors.
