Brown beats Navy, 61-53

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Eric Blackiston, Paul Krasinski and Steve Silas each scored 10 points to lead Brown to a 61-53 victory over Navy in a nonconference game last night.

Brown (1-3) built a 35-30 halftime lead as Silas scored all 10 of his points in a four-minute span. Navy (1-2) rallied, opening the second half with an 11-5 run to take a 46-40 lead with 11:05 left.

Trailing 48-45 with 8:26 remaining, Brown went on a 9-0 run to break the game open, led by Krasinski, who scored six.

Krasinski led all players with 12 rebounds. Wes Cooper led all scorers with 14 points for Navy and had 11 rebounds.
