Baltimore man arrested in robbery of cabdriver

November 30, 1994

County police arrested a Baltimore man Monday morning and charged him with the robbery of a cabdriver in Ferndale, authorities said yesterday.

Robert Kellher, 26, a driver for AC Taxi, was dispatched about 7 a.m. to pick up a fare on Roots Drive in Ferndale. A man flagged him down about a block from his destination, then jumped into the cab, robbed the driver of $19 and forced him to drive to Bricktown Circle, where the robber jumped out of the car and ran.

A Northern District officer found a man fitting the suspect's description of the robber walking near Polk Circle and Freedom Drive and arrested him after Mr. Kellher identified him, police said.

Alvin Keith Brown, 19, of the 400 block of E. Preston St. was charged with armed assault and robbery, police said.
