THEFT FROM AUTO: Central District -- A saleswoman at a downtown electronics store returned to her car at an Arrow parking lot in the 300 block of N. Howard St. Monday night to find that its white vinyl convertible roof had been cut off and assorted property stolen. The loss was estimated at $1,810.

LARCENY: Central District -- A 22-year-old woman said a former boyfriend she admitted to her home in the 2000 block of McCulloh St. to use the bathroom early yesterday stole a half-karat gold and diamond solitaire engagement ring given to her by her fiance. The ring, taken from a night stand, was valued at $1,300.

ASSAULT/ARRESTS: Central District -- An 18-year-old woman said she was beaten in the face and threatened with a gun in the presence of a young son after three men entered her apartment in the 1400 block of Division St. Monday afternoon, demanding to know where a radio was. Police investigating a report of a disturbance arrested three suspects, but found no weapon.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two gunmen with dreadlock hairstyles robbed a 20-year-old man of $90 as he stepped out of a car in the 2500 block of St. Paul St. yesterday afternoon. The victim said that as the men fled, each fired a shot into the air.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A 35-year-old self-employed clerical worker returned to her home in the 900 block of N. Woodson Road about 12:15 p.m. yesterday to find her 26-inch color TV set in a hallway and more than $5,000 worth of computer equipment missing. She told police that her front door lock was defective, and she had left the house unsecured.

AUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Ken Oak Road reported that her black four-door 1990 Acura was stolen sometime between 1 p.m. Monday and yesterday morning. The car -- equipped with an anti-theft alarm that had not been turned on -- had Maryland tags NYE 826.

AUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A red 1990 four-door Suburu parked outside a home in the 5200 block of Gallagher Court was stolen between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. yesterday.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Towson Precinct -- Assorted jewelry and a radio, valued at $1,100, were taken from a residence in the 900 block of Bellona Ave. between 7:40 a.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

LARCENY FROM AUTO: Parkville Precinct -- Amplifiers and a compact disc player valued at $3,100 were stolen from a 1988 Hyundai at the intersection of Old Harford and Joppa roads about 2 a.m. Monday.
