BALTIMORE CITY

* AUTO THEFT: Central District -- An aqua 1994 Dodge Shadow with license tags BTM 990 was stolen during the holiday weekend from the first block of E. Mount Vernon Place.

* ARMED ROBBERY/ARREST: Eastern District -- A man armed with a sawed-off shotgun robbed the McDonald's in the 2000 block of Broadway of $160 early yesterday. A suspect spotted by police a short time later was chased into a house in the 1700 block of N. Bethel St., where he surrendered.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man robbed the owner of the Little Castle Inn in the 1700 block of N. Castle St. of $10,000 as he was about to enter his business shortly before 10 a.m. yesterday. The man struck the owner on the side of the head, took the victim's 9mm semiautomatic handgun, pointed it at his head and demanded money.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Northwestern District -- A woman walking in the 3800 block of Dolfield Ave. had her shoulder bag snatched by a man riding a bicycle. The bag contained personal papers but no money.

* BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone broke into Dee's Carry Out in the 1700 block of Wilkens Ave. early yesterday and stole steaks and other food.

* LARCENY FROM AUTO: Southern District -- Someone broke into two cars parked in the 1300 block of Ridgely St. early Saturday, stealing a car phone valued at $100 from one and stereo equipment valued at $2,700 from the other.

* AUTO THEFT: Southwestern District -- A 1983 Oldsmobile stolen overnight from the 2700 block of Ottawa Ave. was recovered yesterday afternoon in Anne Arundel County.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* BURGLARY: Woodlawn Precinct -- Someone broke through the front door of the Catonsville Bike Shop in the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike early Saturday, making off with eight bicycles and motor bikes worth a total of $23,942.

* ROBBERY: Garrison Precinct -- A youth waiting to be picked up by his father in front of Owings Mill Mall was approached by another youth, who grabbed his pager and ran.

* AUTO THEFT: Towson Precinct -- Someone stole a white 1987 GMC truck from the 1000 block of Cromwell Bridge Road over the weekend. The truck had license tags 839-980.

* BURGLARY: Dundalk Precinct -- An intruder broke into a video arcade in the Dundalk Shopping Center early yesterday, prying open change machines and taking an undetermined amount of coins.
