New Haven Landing

1. Chartwell Homes has begun construction of the two townhouse models the company is offering at New Haven Landing at Turkey Point in Baltimore County.

Chartwell will build 134 townhouses on 46 acres of natural woodlands near Turkey Point Park.

The Heron and Osprey are both three-level homes with 1,360 square feet of living space and a base price of $103,500. The foyer of the Heron has a powder room and coat closet on the left and an 11-by-11-foot living room on the right. An 8-by-12-foot kitchen, 11-by-10-foot morning room and 11-by-9-foot dining room complete the first floor.

Upstairs, the standard second floor includes a 16-by-13-foot master bedroom, two additional bedrooms and a full hall bath. Buyers can opt to add his-and-her walk-in closets, a master bath or a 14-by-11-foot loft to the master bedroom.

Each home has a ground level walkout basement with a sliding glass door. An 11-by-9-foot den, 19-by-12-foot recreation room and laundry room can be built in this area.

Only the first floor of the Osprey is different from the Heron. There is an 11-by-11-foot kitchen at the front of the house, an 11-by-6-foot dining room and a 19-by-13-foot living room across the rear.

The sales center at New Haven Landing is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Take Eastern Avenue East to right on Southeast Boulevard to a left on Turkey Point Road to a left on Bauernschmidt Road.

2. Powers Homes has opened the final section at Piney Meadow in Eldersburg in Carroll County, where the firm is building seven Colonial and split-foyer models.

The Fenwick, a Colonial with 2,250 square feet and a starting price of $161,990, is currently under construction at Piney.

There is a 10-by-13-foot living room to the left of the entry foyer which houses a powder room and coat closet. The first floor also has a 12-by-10-foot dining room, 11-by-12-foot kitchen and 12-by-12-foot family room.

A 17-by-12-foot bedroom, walk-in closet and bath with a soaking tub, separate shower and dual vanity are found in the second-floor master suite. Two additional bedrooms, a linen closet and a full hall bath complete this level.

The Fenwick also has a single-car garage and an unfinished basement with a laundry hookup.

The sales office is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Take Liberty Road (Route 26) West across Route 32 to a left on Johnsville Road. The model is a mile on the left.
