A Linthicum man who was stabbed during a fight Saturday morning in an apartment in the 6800 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. was in critical condition yesterday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.

Gary A. Curtin, 34, was bleeding from his left side when police arrived at the scene shortly after 3 a.m.

He had come to the apartment to find an ex-girlfriend, police said.

He kicked in the apartment door and assaulted another man after shouting obscenities at him, police said.

Witnesses said Mr. Curtin attacked the other man twice before the man grabbed two knives from the kitchen and stabbed him, police said.

The two men then fell down the steps outside the second floor apartment.

After the stabbing, the other man got into his car and drove off, police said.
