* BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A VCR, two phones, silverware, and a diamond and pearl ring, all valued at $710, were stolen from a house in the 3600 block of Ravenwood Ave. Thursday by someone who entered through the front door.

* ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of Tivoly Ave. was in the 1600 block of Abbotston St. Thursday when a man robbed him of his cellular phone valued at $300.

* SHOOTING: Western District -- Two men were arguing about a woman in the 1500 block of Bruce St. Thursday when one of them shot the other in the leg. The victim, a resident of the 1500 block of Mountmor Court, was treated at Bon Secours Hospital. Police were seeking a man named "Sidney."

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 100 block of W. 29th St. was about to enter a bus in the 3300 block of Frisby St. Thursday when a man snatched her wallet from her grasp. The wallet contained cash, an ATM card and a checkbook, all valued at $25.

* THEFT: Northern District -- Clothing valued at more than $700 was stolen from a car parked in the 2800 block of N. Calvert St. Thursday by someone who cut the vehicle's convertible top.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3400 block of Oakenshaw Road after breaking a pane of glass in a door Thursday and stole property valued at $450.


* ROBBERY: Woodlawn Precinct -- A woman was withdrawing an undisclosed sum of cash from a 24-hour teller machine outside the Basics Food Store in the 6600 block of Security Blvd. Thursday was robbed by a man with one hand covered as though concealing a weapon.

* DRUG ARRESTS: North Point Precinct -- Two men were arrested for possession of marijuana Thursday after a policeman stopped their 1983 Chevrolet that had license plates listed to a Geo Metro. While interviewing the driver and passenger, Corporal John Krebs noticed a gym bag on the back seat and the odor of burning marijuana. A search of the bag revealed a small quantity of marijuana. Both men were held pending charges.

* THEFT/ARREST: North Point Precinct -- A woman was arrested Thursday when she tried to leave Wilson's Leather Goods in the 7800 block of Eastern Ave. with 127 pairs of gloves valued at nearly $300.
