North Harford's Katherine Ober scored a first-half goal and Pocomoke's Jodi Byrd added one in the second half as the East all-stars edged the West, 2-1, in a Maryland State Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior All-Star game last night at Johns Hopkins' Homewood Field.

The East outshot the West, 9-3, and took a 2-0 lead 2:50 into the second half. Sherwood's Meghan Puslusny scored the West's goal with three minutes left.

In the second game, Leonardtown's Kerri Duke and Bryn Mawr's Meredith Mao scored second-half goals to lead the South over the North.

Duke scored her goal on a breakaway midway through the half. Lackey's Adi Moore fed Mao with a crossing pass from the right for the insurance goal with 6:30 to go.
