Fallston's Credito, Robinson awarded full scholarships

November 13, 1994|By From Staff Reports

Candy Credito and Becky Robinson, Fallston High School seniors on the same track academically but with divergent sports backgrounds, have received full athletic scholarships to NCAA Division I universities.

Credito is an honors student with a 4.0 grade-point average, president of the school's chapter of the National Honor Society, and an All-County athlete in three sports. She will concentrate her athletic time on basketball at the University of North Carolina-Asheville.

Credito expects to major in international business, followed by graduate studies.

Robinson is a 3.7 student in the school's honors program, a National Honor Society member, and editor of the school paper. She hasn't participated in Fallston's interscholastic athletic programs but has captured seven national championships in gymnastics, including three all-arounds, and will go to Michigan State.

Robinson, who will be joined on the Spartans' team by Carolyn Hecht of Friends School in Baltimore, against whom she has competed for the last nine years, plans on majoring in exercise science, followed by a graduate program in physical therapy.
