Bills' Beebe: No plans to retire

November 13, 1994|By Dallas Morning News

The family and friends of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Don Beebe want him to consider retirement after he suffered the fifth concussion of his career last week against the New York Jets.

Beebe was belted by linebacker Bobby Houston while attempting to catch a pass over the middle. He lay on the ground for several minutes after the hit.

Beebe conceded that the concussions are starting to mount with five in six seasons, but he said retirement is not a consideration -- at least not now.

"I enjoy the game and as long as I feel fine and have no ill effects from the concussions, I won't [retire]," he said.
