Tomorrow

No. 14 Oakland Mills (7-2) at Centennial (7-2)

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Outlook: Oakland Mills is coming off a big win over defending county champion Howard last week and has clinched at least a share of the county title. A win today would give the Scorpions the title outright and would enhance their chances of making the state playoffs. They are ninth in their region and only the top eight teams make the playoffs. Oakland Mils can run or throw. Jake Daft had 107 yards on 17 carries last week. QB Irving Conwell was 5-for-9 for 115 yards and two touchdown passes. The defense was led by Casey Moffitt (nine tackles, one interception) and Tajuan Hall (12 tackles). Like Oakland Mills, Centennial can run or pass. Centennial crushed Atholton, 47-7, last week and is having one of its best seasons. Robbie Hauff rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns, and QB Brian Dowell went 8-for-9 for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Last season Oakland Mills defeated Centennial, 38-20.

Wilde Lake (5-4) at Mount Hebron (0-9)

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Outlook: The Wildecats have won three straight games and should make the Class 1A playoffs if they defeat Mount Hebron, a Class 3A team. Wilde Lake is eighth in its region and the top eight teams earn spots. Dain Lewis rushed for 119 yards in last week's rout of Glenelg, 34-12. He and Sean Jefferson, both sophomores, give Wilde Lake a tough running combination. Mount Hebron lost to Hammond, 19-0, last week and has not scored in its last four games.

No. 15 Howard (7-2) at Atholton (5-4)

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Outlook: Howard played a good game but lost to Oakland Mills, 19-18, last week. That loss cost Howard its playoff hopes, but the Lions are hoping that Centennial can defeat Oakland Mills and give Howard a share of the county championship with the Scorpions. QB DaLawn Parrish went 8-for-10 for 89 yards passing and ran nine times for 63 yards and one touchdown. He made several key tackles as well. Corey Curtis scored two touchdowns, had a fumble recovery and an interception and had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown nullified by a penalty. Atholton lost to Centennial, 47-7, last week. Centennial lost to Howard, 35-7, earlier this season. Howard struggled against Atholton last season before winning, 21-14.

Glenelg (2-7) at Hammond (4-5)

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Outlook: Hammond snapped a four-game losing streak by defeating Mount Hebron last week, 19-0. Josh Zilmer rushed for 108 yards and scored two touchdowns. QB Tim Spruill rushed for 172 yards and one touchdown. Glenelg lost to Wilde Lake, 34-12, for its fourth straight defeat. Glenelg nipped Hammond last season, 3-0.
