Redmond retains win in council race

Democrat Thomas Redmond retained his narrow victory over incumbent County Councilman Carl G. "Dutch" Holland in Pasadena's 3rd District yesterday after the absentee ballots were counted.

With all precincts reporting Tuesday night, Mr. Redmond had a 454-vote lead over Mr. Holland. When the absentee ballots were counted, Mr. Redmond's margin of victory narrowed slightly, to 432 votes.

The election board said no voting irregularities had been reported and no complaints received.
