Crossbow, bolts and knife stolen in shop burglary

November 10, 1994

A burglar who broke into Don's Treasure World in the 600 block of Church St. on Monday made off with a crossbow and an engraved Desert Storm commemorative knife, county police said.

Donald Blair, 36, told a Northern District officer that some neighborhood youths came to his house shortly before 9 p.m. and told him that the front door of his shop was ajar. Mr. Blair went to the shop -- which he had closed shortly after 4 p.m. -- and found that someone had broken a small pane of glass on the front door, reached in and unlocked it, police said.

The culprit went to a display case and took the crossbow worth $30, a package of aluminum crossbow bolts worth $12 and the $40 knife. A small amount of cash was taken from the register, police said.
