Unranked Gilman produces 2-1 upset of No. 3 Calvert Hall

Yani Rosenberg had a goal and an assist as Gilman upset No. 3 Calvert Hall, 2-1, yesterday.

Corey Popham also had a goal for Gilman (12-6-1) and Adam Heaps added an assist. Noah Gallico had 12 saves for the Greyhounds.

Despite the loss Calvert Hall (17-2-1) remains the second seed in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference playoffs and will play host to Loyola at 3:15 tomorrow in a semifinal game.

Gilman travels to top-seeded Curley tomorrow at 3:15 for the other semifinal.

* Boys' Latin 2, Lutheran 0: Ian Shure and Jason Quenzer both scored as Boys' Latin (13-1-3) shutout Lutheran.

Boys' Latin will play host to Severn in one of tomorrow's B Division semifinals at 3:15. Friends is at St. Mary's in the other at 3:15.

* Friends 2, St. Paul's 1: Zach Niman and Bob Michel each scored to lift visiting Friends (10-6) over St. Paul's in a MIAA B Conference quarterfinal.

* St. Mary's 9, Towson Catholic 0: Steve Picarde scored two goals and added three assists as host St. Mary's (13-1-2) beat Towson Catholic (2-10-2).

* Severn 4, Park 1: Eugene Youn scored a goal and added an assist as host Severn (9-5-2) defeated Park.
