* Mount Airy: Mount Airy engines responded to a woods fire in the 4100 block of Larson Lane at 1:16 p.m. yesterday. Units were out for three minutes.

Mount Airy engines responded to a woods fire in the 7400 block of Watersville Road at 9:53 a.m. yesterday. Units were out for 90 minutes.

Mount Airy assisted Frederick County at a house fire on Hood Street at 5:14 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 15 minutes.

Mount Airy engines responded to a brush fire in the 100 block of Village Way in Frederick County at 5 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 30 minutes.

* Winfield: Winfield and New Windsor engines were dispatched to a backhoe fire on Hooper Road at 4:23 a.m. Sunday. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Units were out for one hour.

Winfield engines responded to a brush fire on Sams Creek Road at 2:51 a.m. Sunday. They were out for 20 minutes.

Engines from Winfield and Lisbon of Howard County responded to an auto fire on Eden Mill Road at 12:41 a.m. Sunday. Units were out for two hours.
