Higgins to be included in 1994 Who's Who

Donna L. Higgins, an assistant manager and training coordinator at O'Conor, Piper & Flynn in Abingdon, has been selected to be in the 1994 National Directory of Who's Who.

Membership selection is based on professional reputation and industry impact.

Ms. Higgins is affiliated with the National Association of Realtors, the Maryland Association of Realtors, the Harford County Association of Realtors and the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors.

She was named Realtor of the Year, Harford Association, this year, and is a member of the Harford Million Dollar Association. She served the Harford Million Dollar Association as secretary, vice president and president. She also was president of the Joppatowne High School PTO and is a member of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce.

Glickman named HCC curriculum head

Dr. Gena Glickman has been appointed executive director for curriculum development and evaluation at Harford Community College.

Dr. Glickman will assist with program and discipline reviews, internal and state approval processes, the development of new programs and courses, and the review and revision of curricula. She also will serve as a coordinator for community liaison activities.

She earned a doctorate from the University of Maryland College Park; a master's of science degree from the Johns Hopkins University; and a bachelor of fine arts degree from the Maryland Institute, College of Art.

Before her appointment at HCC, Dr. Glickman was assistant to the vice president for academic affairs at Baltimore City Community College and the assistant dean for career services at the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Villard is assisting United Way again

Bruce Villard, an employee with Bell Atlantic for more than 32 years, has volunteered for the Loaned Executive Program of the United Way of Central Maryland since 1992.

The program is designed to link business professionals with the United Way. Their time is donated by their employers. Loaned executives assist full time in fund-raising efforts for the campaign.

Mr. Villard has been responsible for United Way of Central Maryland campaigns at numerous Harford County companies, including Harford Mutual Insurance, Harford County schools, the Harford County government and Merry-Go-Round.
