Jim Himes and Scott Vane each scored a goal and added an assist as as No. 5 Severna Park (13-1-1) defeated North County, 6-1, in 4A East region boys soccer action.

Severna Park outshot (5-7-1) North County, 20-14.

* Loch Raven 2, Fallston 1: Visiting Loch Raven (11-3) made four of its first five penalty kicks to two for No. 6 Fallston (10-2-1) and held on for a 7-5 margin in the shootout to advance in the Class 2A North regionals.

* Southern-AA 3, Wicomico 0: Jim Mensah scored two goals and had one assist as Southern (4-8-1) blanked Wicomico (2-11) in the 2A East Region.

* Old Mill 2, Calvert 1 (OT): Ryan Hannie and Kevin Robinson both scored a goal and added an assist as Old Mill (5-7-2) edged Calvert in a 4A East Region game.

Girls

* Old Mill 9, Patterson 1: Jennifer Mazola scored two goals to lead No. 12 Old Mill (10-4) past host Patterson in a 3A-4A East game. Carina Sonberg had a goal and an assist for the Patriots.

* Chesapeake-AA 6, J.M. Bennett 0: Melissa Wagner scored three goals to lead No. 15 Chesapeake (9-4-1) over host J.M. Bennett (7-5) in a Class 3A-4A East game.

* Hereford 1, Loch Raven 0: Visiting Hereford (9-4) outshot No. 3 Loch Raven 8-7 in a double-shootout in a 1A-2A North Region game.

The teams were tied at 6 after the first shootout. Jen Jones scored the go-ahead goal in the second shootout. Bulls sophomore goalie Kate Macfarlane had 26 saves.

The Raiders (12-2), who were the defending 1A-2A champions, have lost only three games in two years.

* Glen Burnie 1, North County 0: Courtney Lemon scored the only goal as Glen Burnie (6-7) edged North County (5-8-1) in a 3A-4A East region game.

* Meade 10, Southern-B 0: Lori Bolen scored three goals within the first four minutes as Meade (3-10-1) pounded Southern (2-11) in a 3A-4A region game.

* St. Mary's 7, Spalding 0: Erin Hon had two goals and three assists as St. Mary's (12-5-1) beat Spalding (2-14-1) in a Catholic League Tournament quarterfinal.
