DRUG ARRESTS: Western District -- Police arrested at least )) 35 men Wednesday afternoon and evening and charged them with multiple drug violations, including possession of cocaine, heroin and marijuana. The arrests followed undercover surveillance and on-view sighting of drug transactions in several neighborhoods. Recovered from two men were two handguns. The arrests were part of the district's "Operation Zebra," a drug enforcement operation carried out over a period of time as a result of police obtaining information on suspects provided by various community groups and individuals working with police to rid the area of drug traffickers. All the men were held at the police station pending bail hearings and more arrests were expected. Scenes of the arrests were the 1700 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway, 600 block of N. Mount St., the 1200 block of Edmondson Ave., 1700 block of N. Mount St., 500 block of N. Mount St., the 1000 block of Woodyear St., the first block of N. Gilmor St. and the 1400 and 1700 blocks of W. Lafayette Ave.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Three gunmen robbed Blackstone's men's wear in the 3200 block of Greenmount Ave. of two coats and cash, all valued at more than $600, Wednesday morning and escaped in a blue 1987 Pontiac Bonneville with Illinois tags DX4089. The car was stolen earlier from the 3500 block of Fairview Ave.

PURSE SNATCH: Northern District -- A 40-year-old resident of the 800 block of Belgian Ave. was walking in the 3900 block of Lowndes Ave. when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

ARSON: Northern District -- Someone poured a flammable liquid onto two chairs on the rear porch of a house in the 2800 block of Huntingdon Ave. early Wednesday morning and set them ablaze. The fire was confined to the porch and no injuries were reported.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- The landlord of a dwelling in the 5500 block of Lothian Road was inside the house Wednesday when he heard the sound of breaking glass and called the police. When police entered the house, they apprehended a suspect who had entered the house after breaking a pane of glass out of a rear basement door. No property was reported missing.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1990 Acura with tags TPP 463 was stolen Wednesday from the 4800 block of Midwood Ave.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- The landlord of a house in the 2600 block of N. Charles St. was inside the dwelling Wednesday afternoon when he heard the sound of someone flushing the toilet in an upstairs bathroom. Knowing the second floor was unoccupied, the landlord called the police. When police entered the second floor, they arrested a man who was about to flee with three brass light fixtures. The man was being held at the station pending burglary charges.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2500 block of Keyworth Ave. Wednesday after breaking a rear door lock and stole a TV valued at more than $600.

ROBBERY TRY: Northern District -- A 13-year-old boy was in the 1100 block of Woodbourne Ave. Wednesday when a man in his 40s asked him for 50 cents. When the boy said he didn't have any money, the man pushed him to the ground and then fled.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A 70-year-old woman was walking in the 2400 block of St. Paul St. Wednesday afternoon when she tripped and fell to the pavement. Before she could get up, a woman in her mid-20s stole the victim's purse containing $50 and fled.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1980 Toyota Corolla with tags VXR 779 was stolen Wednesday from the 200 block of E. University Parkway.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3400 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway Wednesday through a front basement window and stole property valued at $100.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1994 Dodge Shadow with tags BTL 336 was stolen Wednesday from the 4100 block of Chatham Road.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $150 was stolen from a house in the 3900 block of Walbrook Ave. Wednesday by someone who entered through the front door.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who struck a resident of the 3100 block of Ferndale Ave. over the head with a bat during an incident in the 4600 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Wednesday. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man entered a house in the 5000 block of Pembridge Ave. Wednesday afternoon and robbed a woman of cash and property, valued at nearly $200, after pushing her to the floor.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A silver 1991 Dodge Shadow with tags ZEN 737 was stolen Wednesday from the 4700 block of Mt. Hope Drive.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Parkville Precinct -- Someone entered a house in the 11400 block of Glen Arm Road between Sept. 25 and Wednesday and stole a 27-inch TV valued at $600.
