Convenience store robbed by armed man

A man armed with a handgun held up a Wilde Lake convenience store Tuesday evening, taking an undetermined amount of cash, Howard County police said.

No one was injured in the robbery of the High's in the 5400 block of Lynx Lane, police said.

At 5:07 p.m., a man entered the store, approached the clerk, displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said. The clerk complied, and the man took the cash and ran. The robber was described as a slim black male about 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a mustache and wearing a black leather jacket, police said.
