Boston Red Sox -- Declined to exercise their 1995 option on C Damon Berryhill.
Cincinnati Reds -- Purchased the contracts of P Matt Grott, P Terry Bross and 1B Kevin Maas from Triple-A Indianapolis; 1B Tim Belk, IF Eric Owens, SS Pokey Reese and OF Chad Mottola from Double-A Chattanooga; and P Chad Fox from Single-A Winston-Salem.

Cleveland Cavaliers -- Signed G-F Tony Campbell, who averaged 7.1 points in 22 games with the New York Knicks and 9.7 points in 41 games with the Dallas Mavericks. Waived G Mike Iuzzolino, G Gary Collier and F Melvin Simon.
Houston Rockets -- Waived F Albert Burditt and former Bullets G Larry Robinson.
Indiana Pacers -- Released F Joe Wolf and F-C Spencer Dunkley. Placed G Damon Bailey and F-C Scott Haskin on the injured list.

Ohio University -- Fired football coach Tom Lichtenberg and announced that he will be assigned to other duties after the season. Ohio is 0-8 with three games left this year and 8-42-2 since he began coaching the Bobcats.
Thomas More -- Suspended WR Bryson Burnam from the football team indefinitely for violating team rules.
Wilmington College -- Football coach Mike Wallace reinstated most of the 40 players he suspended Friday for violating the team's ban on alcohol consumption.
