SHOOTING: Western District -- A 29-year-old resident of the 1400 block of W. Saratoga St. was a block from his home Monday night when the passenger of a passing pickup truck fired a handgun at him, hitting him once in the stomach. The pickup sped off. The victim staggered to the 300 block of N. Stricker St., where police found him. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in stable condition. Police said the shooting may have been related to the victim's intervening in an altercation between two men earlier.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone removed a brake drum from a car parked in the 600 block of Harwood Road Monday. The owner discovered the theft when he saw a wheel lying next to his car. The brake drum was valued at $30.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Two mountain bikes valued at more than $600 were stolen from a garage in the 300 block of Tuscany Road Sunday.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 6100 block of MacBeth Drive was leaving her home Monday when a gunman forced her back inside and robbed her of cash and property, all valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a truck owned by Fick Brothers roofing in the 1200 block of E. 25th St. over the weekend and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: White Marsh Precinct -- Someone entered Steelcraft Inc. in the 8200 block of Pulaski Highway over the weekend and stole tools and welding equipment valued at $10,000. Police said someone hooked a chain to a sliding door and pulled it open with a vehicle. The property was removed from the building with a fork lift and placed inside the vehicle, probably a pickup truck.

ROBBERY: Parkville Precinct -- Several teen-agers robbed five youngsters of their trick or treat candy at 7 Courts Drive and Neves Court Monday night. Also, one of the youngsters was struck with an egg.

HARFORD COUNTY

BURGLARY: Street -- Someone entered a house in the 3500 block of Millgreen Road through a bedroom window Monday and stole a Ruger .22 caliber rifle, a Winchester shotgun and a scope, all valued at nearly $500.
