Program on international adoption set

October 31, 1994

A program on international adoption will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Oakland Mills Meeting House.

The program is sponsored by Adoption Alliances of Baltimore and Cradle of Hope Adoption Center of Washington.

The center is placing children from Russia and other Eastern European countries, Chile, Paraguay and China with adoptive families in the United States.

Adoption Alliances is a nonsectarian program of Jewish Family Services, an agency of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.

The two programs are facilitating international adoptions for each other's clients.

Participants will meet a family that recently adopted a child from Russia and learn about adoption programs in other countries, how to begin the adoption process and how the two organizations work with families considering adoption.

For reservations, call 466-8439.
