C. Milton Wright edges Patapsco in playoff opener

Erin Lesh scored the game-winner 27:07 into the second half to lead No. 14 C. Milton Wright (10-3) over visiting Patapsco, 2-1, in a girls soccer Class 3A-4A North Region first round game yesterday.

Becky Gerhart tied the game for the Mustangs 1:28 into the second half off an assist from her sister, Jamie Gerhart.

* Dulaney 6, Kenwood 0: Alison Schuch scored two goals and made an assist to pace third-ranked Dulaney (12-0) past visiting Kenwood in the opening round of the 3A/4A North action.

Kristen McLewee added two goals.

3A-4A East

* Old Mill 6, City 1: Carina Sonberg scored there goals and Carrie Smith added two to lift 13th-ranked Old Mill past host City (9-4) in a 3A-4A East Region game.

* North County 15, Poly 0: Tracy Mrazeck scored four goals and had two saves, and teammate Teresa Horney had two goals and an assist in North County's win over visiting Poly.

1A-2A North

* Overlea 7, Carver A&T 0: Amy Palm and Holly Wiitala each contributed a goal and two assists to help Overlea (9-3) to a win over host Carver A&T (1-10).

Six different players scored for the Falcons.

1A-2A South

* Glenelg 2, Northeast 0: Carolyn Flowers and Emily Cox both scored as visiting Glenelg (8-4-1) defeated Northeast (3-10).
