Player Relations Committee -- Rejected the free-agency bid of Rockies P Marvin Freeman because he doesn't have six years of major-league service without some or all of the 52 days lost to the strike.

Orioles -- Named Lee May hitting coach, Al Bumbry first base coach, Chuck Cottier third base coach and Steve Boros bench coach. Announced that Elrod Hendricks will remain as bullpen coach.

Chicago Cubs -- Announced that third base coach Tony Muser, an ex-Oriole, and hitting coach Billy Williams will be rehired for 1995, and that first base coach Jose Martinez and pitching coach Moe Drabowsky, an ex-Oriole, won't be offered contracts.

Kansas City Royals -- OF Dave Henderson and IF Keith Miller rejected outright assignments and chose free agency.

Montreal Expos -- 1B Randy Milligan rejected an outright assignment and chose free agency.

Basketball

Washington Bullets -- Released G Ernest Hall (Dunbar) and F Harry Moore.

Colleges

Coppin State -- Announced that senior C Jerry Wysinger quit the basketball team for personal reasons.

Miami -- Announced that S Tremain Mack has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.

Towson State -- Announced that senior C Jason Crump will be suspended for four games during the 1994-95 men's basketball season for violating an NCAA rule regarding participation in outside contests.

Football

Chicago Bears -- Placed TE Chris Gedney on IR. Re-signed TE Keith Jennings.

Green Bay Packers -- Signed S Ray Wilson to the practice squad.

Ottawa Rough Riders (CFL) -- Signed QB Andre Ware to the practice roster.
