Milwaukee Brewers -- Exercised the 1995 option on the contract of P Ricky Bones.

Oakland A's -- Will not exercise option on P Dennis Eckersley; did not offer arbitration to P Bob Welch, making him a free agent.

Texas Rangers -- Announced the resignation of assistant general manager Wayne Krivsky, effective Oct. 21.

UCLA -- Suspended safety Tommy Bennett for the fall quarter for preparing a false financial statement.


New York Jets -- Waived LB Tuineau Alipate; re-signed Alipate and G Terrance Wisdon to the practice squad.

Baltimore (CFL) -- Signed LB Grant Clark to practice roster.


Cleveland Crunch (NPSL) -- Signed defender Scott Schweitzer to a two-year contract.

Milwaukee Rampage (USISL) -- Announced the resignation of coach and general manager Boro Sucevic.
