Dons upset McDonogh

Scott Brown rushed for 187 yards and four touchdowns on 34 carries to lead visiting Loyola (3-1, 1-0) over No. 3 McDonogh, 38-33, in a Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference game.

McDonogh (4-2, 1-1) -- which had led, 26-14, at halftime -- ran only 19 plays and gained just 86 yards in the second half.

Gilman 20, Calvert Hall 12

James McIntyre caught touchdown passes of 25 and 75 yards visiting No. 5 Gilman (4-1) defeated Calvert Hall (3-3.)

Mt. St. Joseph 33, St. Mary's 7

Archie Wannamaker rushed 10 times for 98 yards and two touchdowns to lead host and No. 8 Mount St. Joseph (5-1) past No. 9 St. Mary's (4-2).

Gaels quarterback Lucas Phillips completed 12 of 20 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown.

Atholton 38, Mt. Hebron 0

Ricky Trott rushed for two touchdowns as visiting Atholton (4-2) defeated Mount Hebron (0-6).

Perry Hall 15, Woodlawn 12

Jason Bloom nailed a 44-yard field goal with 1:50 remaining in regulation to lift the host Gators (4-2) to victory over Woodlawn (4-2).

Bloom, who missed a 43-yard attempt earlier in the quarter, immediately followed his game-winning kick with a kickoff that traveled close to 70 yards and hit the goalpost.
