* The Naval Academy defeated the Carlisle Indians from Pennsylvania in football by a score of 8-0. Complaints were made of the ignorance of the new rules by referees, especially the rule against piling on a player who is down. -- The Sun, Nov. 1, 1894.

* Pupils in the Anne Arundel County public schools were notified by their teachers yesterday that they all must be vaccinated immediately. -- The Sun, Nov. 13, 1894.

* Farmers in Anne Arundel County's first district have petitioned the county commissioners for a supply of shells for repairing Lee's Lane, a thoroughfare between Davidsonville and the South River Bridge. -- The Sun, Nov. 14, 1894.

* Dressed poultry is selling well in the Annapolis market at 16 cents a pound; ducks $1 per pair; chickens, 75 and 80 cents, and geese at $1 a piece. -- The Sun, Nov. 24, 1894.
