Snacks stolen from vending machine

County police were investigating the theft on Wednesday of 250 snack items from a vending machine at Glen Burnie High School.

The exact time of the theft was not known. An employee of the school in the 7500 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. reported the crime to police shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The door to the vending machine had been pried open, police said.

The total value of the food lost was $125. The vending machine was located in Building E of the high school, police said.

Computer stolen from Computer City

Employees of a Computer City store in the 500 block of E. Ordnance Road told county police that a man walked out of the store Saturday evening with an Apple computer worth $2,100.

The man had walked into the store around 7 p.m. and asked to have the computer brought to the counter. While the man checked the computer, store employees were taking care of other customers.

With the employees' attention diverted, the man walked out of the store with the computer, police said.
