A gunman robbed a Severn woman Tuesday morning in the laundry room of an apartment complex in the 8300 block of Candlewick Court, county police said.

Sun Ro Kim, 33, lost an undisclosed amount of money to the robber but was not physically harmed, police said. She was in the laundry room shortly before 9 a.m. when a man with a dark-colored handgun in his waistband walked in, put the gun to her head and demanded all her money. He fled on foot, police said.

Robbers topple cyclist, steal bike

Moments after a Severn man was knocked to the ground early Tuesday and robbed of his 10-speed Schwinn bicycle, Western District police officers arrested two suspects.

The victim, Richard Lee Scrivnor, 27, who was treated for a separated shoulder at North Arundel Hospital, told police he was riding in the 8300 block of Jacobs Road shortly after 1 a.m. when two men yelled at him that they wanted the bicycle.

Mr. Scrivnor said he continued riding, until one of the men threw an unknown object at him, striking him in the left shoulder and knocking him off the bicycle. When he got up, he saw both men heading toward him and he ran off without his bicycle, police said.

The victim found Officers Eric Sporre and Robert Thomas, who were making a traffic stop at Pioneer Drive and Jacobs Road, and told them he had just been robbed. The suspects were arrested on Jacobs Road.

Dennis Carlise Crosby, 18, of the 2800 block of E. Chase St., Baltimore, and Hasaan Sunra Hamilton, 18, of the 100 block of Bragg Blvd., Odenton, were charged with robbery, police said.
