* Hampstead: Engines from Hampstead and Manchester responded to a report of a house fire in the 2700 block of Snydersburg Road at 4:50 a.m. yesterday. The first firefighters at the site discovered the building full of smoke from a defective furnace. They aired out the house after turning off the furnace. They were out for one hour.
