Gunman robs woman in restroom at mall

A gunman followed a Glen Burnie woman into a Marley Station Mall restroom Sunday and robbed her, county police said.

Marie Anne Shelton, 37, told police she went to the restroom shortly after 12:30 p.m. The man pointed a small, dark-barreled handgun at her and demanded her money. He took her waist pouch and fled, police said.

Ms. Shelton said she hurried after the man and saw him drove off in a light blue Plymouth that had Maryland tags, police said. She said she was not sure how much money was in the pouch.

Gunman leaps counter, robs Taco Bell

A gunman robbed a Taco Bell Friday afternoon and made off with an undisclosed amount of money, county police said.

The man walked into the restaurant in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway shortly after 4:30 p.m. He waited a few minutes, then jumped the counter, pulled out a silver handgun, grabbed the money, jumped back over the counter and ran from the store, police said.
