Ex-morgan Standout Dead

Greg Latta, a former Morgan State and Chicago Bears receiver, died Wednesday at St. Michael's Hospital in Newark, N.J. Latta, 41, played tight end at Morgan State from 1970 to 1974 and was named an All-Mid- Eastern Athletic Conference player in 1973.

Drafted by the Colts, he chose instead to play for the Florida Blazers in the World Football League. He was All-WFL in 1974 and played for the Bears from 1975 until his retirement in 1981.

Latta will be buried at noon Wednesday at Whigham Funeral Home in Newark.
