No. 12 Calvert Hall falls, 49-20

Freshman Denard Melton scored five touchdowns, leading host Severn (3-1) to a 49-20 upset of No. 12 Calvert Hall (3-1), yesterday.

Melton had touchdown runs of 10 and 4 yards. He also caught touchdown passes of 75 and 70 yards and had a 91-yard kickoff return for another score.

Running back John Vereen had 15 carries for 192 yards and one touchdown for the Admirals.

A5 Mike Hardey led Severn's defense with 14 tackles.

North County 20, Glen Burnie 14

Earl Sewell threw for 138 yards and Topper Ellis rushed for 90 yards, leading No. 4 North County (3-1) past Glen Burnie (2-2).

Gilman 42, Good Counsel 3

David Biddison ran for two touchdowns and Lorne Smith threw two touchdown passes to James McIntyre as No. 6 Gilman (2-1) defeated Good Counsel (2-3).

Mt. St. Joseph 59, Gibbons 6

Mount St. Joseph ran its record to 4-0 with an easy victory over visiting Gibbons.

The No. 10 Gaels, who have outscored their opponents, 181-43, will play at No. 3 McDonogh on Saturday.

Centennial 33, Mount Hebron 2

Robbie Hauff rushed for 159 yards and scored four touchdowns, leading No. 15 Centennial (4-0) past host Mount Hebron (0-4).

Franklin 14, Milford Mill 8

Curtis Williams scored on a reverse with 2:30 left in the game as visiting Franklin (4-0) defeated Milford Mill (1-3).

Williams caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Chris Demetrakis to give the Indians a 6-0 lead in the first quarter.

Curley 6, West Nottingham 0

Bill Curran ran for a 3-yard touchdown in overtime to lead Curley (4-0) over host West Nottingham.

Chesapeake-BC 42, Pikesville 18

Stephen Kelley ran for two touchdowns and Jermaine Woodhouse threw for two, leading host Chesapeake-BC (2-2) over Pikesville (0-4). Mike Knox rushed for 109 yards.

Towson 21, Loch Raven 19

Towson (2-2) held off Loch Raven (0-4) as Greg Hall missed a 25-yard field goal with under 10 seconds to play. Michael Poskocil rushed for 256 yards for Loch Raven.

Woodlawn 34, Patapsco 8

Keion Carpenter had 233 yards in total offense, leading Woodlawn (3-1) past host Patapsco (0-4).

Randallstown 28, Perry Hall 3

Angelo Todd rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns as visiting Randallstown (3-1) downed Perry Hall (2-2).

F: T.J. Williamson threw for two touchdowns for the Rams.

Joppatowne 20, Bo Manor 7

Lamar Williams scored twice, leading visiting Joppatowne (3-1) over Bohemia Manor (1-3).

Dundalk 16, Parkville 0

Jermaine Jenkins and Damon McCullough each had rushing touchdowns to lead visiting Dundalk (2-2) over Parkville (0-4).

Oakland Mills 27, Wilde Lake 7

Jake Daft rushed for 137 yards, leading host Oakland Mills (2-2) past Wilde Lake (1-3).
