Texas Rangers -- Signed two-year player development contracts with Oklahoma City of the American Association and Tulsa of the Texas League.


Indiana Pacers -- Signed F Dale Davis to a multiyear contract. Signed G Bryan Caver and G Steve Woodberry.

Minnesota Timberwolves -- Agreed to terms with F Donyell Marshall on a multiyear contract.

New Jersey Nets -- Named John Wetzel assistant head coach.

Orlando Magic -- Named Richie Adubato assistant coach and Tom Sterner pro scout and assistant coach.


Big South Conference -- Named Rob Hoch (men's soccer) Co-Player of the Week.

NCAA -- Placed DePaul's men's basketball program on probation for one year for violations involving a booster who provided free apartments and meals to some players.

Maryland -- Announced volleyball player Eden Kroeger was named Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. Kroeger, a freshman from Englewood, Colo., set a single-match school record with 84 assists against Georgia Tech on Saturday.

NYU -- Named Steven Brown ice hockey coach.

UMBC -- Announced that J.J. Kremer (men's soccer) will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.


Arizona Cardinals -- Signed RB Barry Word.

Miami Dolphins -- Placed RB Terry Kirby on injured reserve. Re-signed RB Aaron Craver.

Arena Football -- Awarded a franchise to Mexico City to begin play in the 1995 season.

British Columbia Lions (CFL) -- Signed CB Barry Wilburn.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL) -- Traded SB Joey Jauch to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a 1995 second-round draft pick.


New York Islanders -- Sent RW Dan Plante, C Derek Armstron, C Chris Marinucci, D Gord Dineen and D Chris Luongo to Denver of the International Hockey League.
