COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. -- Dung Dinh's 32-yard field goal with 1.7 seconds left gave Western Maryland a 22-20 win over Ursinus in a Centennial Conference game yesterday.

The winning kick finished a nine-play, 45-yard drive in the final 1:10. The key play was a 19-yard completion to midfield from Brian Van Deusen (Atholton) to receiver Butch Schaffer on fourth-and-19.

The win for Western Maryland (1-2, 1-1) capped a big day for Van LTC Deusen, who set school and Centennial records for passing yards and total offense. He was 28 of 42 for 433 yards and rushed for touchdowns of 5 and 15 yards.

Three consecutive completions for 35 yards put the Green Terror in position for Dinh's game-winning attempt.

Ursinus (1-2, 1-1) had taken the lead with 1:15 remaining on a 27-yard touchdown pass from Brian Lafond to Rob Altman.

Schaffer had a career-high nine catches for 196 yards, and senior Alan Pietkiewicz added eight catches for 116 yards.
