Drug raid at motel results in 4 arrests

Harford County Narcotics Task Force officers reported arresting four people in a raid at the Aberdeen Motel Wednesday night after seizing an ounce of cocaine powder in a room there.

Charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute cocaine after the 10:25 p.m. raid were Wayne Taylor, 19, of the 100 block of Hamilton Place, Aberdeen; Lloyd R. Binion Jr., 19, of the 600 block of Green St., Havre de Grace; Shirley Ann Harter, 18, of the 300 block of S. Washington St., Havre de Grace; and Garrett Mack Menzies, 24, of the raided room in the 1000 block of S. Philadelphia Blvd.

All were being held at the Harford County Detention Center in Bel Air. Bail was set at $100,000 each for Mr. Menzies and Mr. Binion, $25,000 for Mr. Taylor and $10,000 for Ms. Harter.

Car is burglarized outside pizza restaurant

A Baltimore man told Havre de Grace police that someone had entered his 1989 Ford Sept. 20 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. when it was parked outside a pizza restaurant in the 600 block of Ohio St.

The thief stole his radio and cassette deck and a canvas bag with 12 cassette tapes.

The loss was estimated at $370.


* 3200 block of Wilson Ave.: Two shotguns were stolen from a residence by someone who entered it Sept. 18. The loss was estimated at $250.


* 800 block of Baltimore Pike: Someone stole a 1994 Polaris Wave Runner from the lot of an auctioneer on Sept. 15. The loss was estimated at $6,800.


* 2200 block of Churchville Road: Someone broke into a restaurant Sept. 17, stole money and damaged a door, alarm box and cash register. The loss was estimated at $1,920.


* 1800 block of Harbinger Terrace: Jewelry was stolen from a residence Sept. 14. The loss was estimated at $2,150.


* 4100 block of Crown Hill Road: Someone broke into a residence Sept. 17 and stole $1,500.


* 400 block of Enfield Road: A four-wheel-drive all-terrain vehicle was stolen outside a residence Sept. 15. The loss was estimated at $800.


* 2300 block of Whiteford Road: Someone stole tools from a construction company truck on Sept. 12. The loss was estimated at $1,470.
