ASSAULT: Northern District -- A 44-year-old resident of the 1500 block of Doxbury Road in the community of Knottishall, Baltimore County, was in the 1100 block of W. 43rd St. Thursday when one of several youths struck her with a brick, causing a deep scalp laceration. The victim drove herself to Franklin Square Hospital, where the wound was closed with more than 30 stitches.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a garage in the 800 block of St. George's Road Thursday and stole a bike, lawn mower, edger and tiller, all valued at more than $1,000.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police arrested a man in the back yard of a house in the 2300 block of Oswego Ave. and recovered two VCRs taken from the house. Charged with burglary is Kevin Lee, 24, of the 6600 block of Vincent Lane.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1700 block of Homestead St. was in the 800 block of W. Saratoga St. Thursday when a man robbed her of jewelry valued at $150.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- After accepting a ride from an unlicensed cabbie, a man was driven to the 600 block of Claymont Ave. where the driver pulled out a handgun and robbed the passenger of jewelry and cash, all valued at more than $1,000.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1600 block of Vincent Court Thursday and stole a TV, VCR and telephone, all valued at $900.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Lawn care equipment valued at $2,400 was stolen from the garage of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation in the 7400 block of Park Heights Ave. Thursday.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of Park Heights Ave. was walking near his home Thursday when he was assaulted by a man who robbed him of $3.


* ROBBERY TRY: White Marsh Precinct -- Police were seeking a man who attempted to rob the Dollar King store in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road Thursday. After demanding money from a clerk, the man fled when the employee told him she couldn't open the cash register.

* ABDUCTION: Towson Precinct -- A resident of the 1200 block of Sugarwood Circle was abducted from her home Thursday by her ex-boyfriend and driven into the city, where she exited the car and called the police. The man is being sought.
